Scott Fithian, Founder & CEO / The Legacy Companies Scott Fithian is recognized throughout the U.S. and Canada as a pioneer in the tools and methodology of Values-Based PlanningTM. Through his innovative work as a Wealth Coach, Scott helps financial advisors and the individuals and families served by them to achieve happiness by making wise choices concerning their wealth. Scott has delivered over 1,000 presentations to diverse audiences including major corporations, industry associations, national conventions and non-profit organizations. He recently authored the book Values-Based Planning: A Step-by-Step Approach. He has written for many publications including Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Los Angeles Business Journal, Financial Service News, the Boston Globe, Smart Money Magazine, and a host of other publications. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business & Economics, Scott earned the CLU and ChFC from The American College. He was appointed director of estate planning for Baystate Financial Services (the Boston-based field office of The New England), a position he held until he started his own business. Scott founded Legacy Advisory Associates as a specialty firm providing individual planning services for high net worth clients. He developed a unique business model and methodology called The Legacy Wealth Optimization System®. He subsequently founded The Legacy CompaniesTM and the Legacy Wealth Coach NetworkTM to help professional advisors learn and implement this proprietary business model into their own practices. Today, Legacy has hundreds of advisor clients throughout the US and Canada who are successfully using this model with their clients. Scott and his companies are leading a transformation of the financial services industry from its traditional focus on "tangible asset" management and transfer to a holistic focus that incorporates the "intangible assets" of human, intellectual, spiritual and experiential capital as well. Scott has retained Helixx to accomplish several key objectives: (a) the launch of The Ultimate Gift Experience, extending the reach of his values-based planning approach; (b) the development of a film based on The Ultimate Gift; (c) the recommendation and development of new alliances; and (d) the extension of Scott's brand through PR and multimedia programming.
