As Co-founder and Managing Director of The Helixx Group, Paul M. Brooks provides direction to Helixx in shaping the development of its intellectual property work, consulting methodologies, and philanthropic strategies.

The Helixx Group provides agent services for business and idea entrepreneurs. Current areas of concentration include: media, the sciences, financial services and philanthropy. The Helixx Personal Performance System that Paul helped to develop assists entrepreneurs in maximizing their opportunity to create new value, to live meaningfully, and to have a positive and transformational impact in their spheres of impact.

Paul is widely recognized as a visionary entrepreneur, speaker, and writer in the financial and nonprofit communities. His innovative ideas and business pursuits have expanded industry capacity in the space where philanthropic and financial services overlap, enabling thousands of donors as well as non-profit and financial services organizations to achieve more with their civic capital. His multimedia series, The Economic Citizen (with Dan Sullivan), has helped shape the thinking of many advisors in the financial and philanthropic services arena. This reflects his driving motivation: helping business leaders to transform their communities.

Prior to launching The Helixx Group, Paul co-founded and served as CEO of Renaissance, the leading independent provider of planned gift administration services. During Paul's tenure as CEO (1987 to 1999), Renaissance helped advisors and charitable organizations create over 5,000 planned gifts on behalf of their clients and donors, with over $2.5 billion of future charitable gift value.

In 1998 Paul co-founded the Private Consulting Group, "a wealth optimization firm for the highly affluent." PCG currently has 22 offices across the country. Paul serves on the PCG Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of National Fiduciary Trust, an independent trust services firm; The Sagamore Institute for Policy Research, an international think tank; and SF Foundation, a leading organizer of in-depth reports designed to inform major donors about the work of not-for-profit organizations.

Paul's non-vocational achievements flow out of his passion for life and his life's work. For example, Paul was selected to participate in the inaugural "Birthing of Giants" program, an intensive school for young entrepreneurs cosponsored by "Inc." magazine and MIT. He is an alumnus of The Indianapolis Business Journal's "Forty Under Forty" list, which profiles rising business leaders in Indiana. And he recently received the President's Award for outstanding service and for professionalism and enthusiasm in encouraging philanthropy in Indiana from the Indiana Chapter of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.

Paul received his B.S. from Wabash College in 1978 and earned his CFP in 1982. He and his wife Diane and their twin daughters Caroline and Kaitlin, adopted from mainland China, make their home in Zionsville, Indiana.
