NEW PRODUCTIVITY INSTITUTE
GEARED TO HELP ORGANIZE BUSINESSES

May 2, 2005 - - Pendaflex, the leading U.S. office supplies company, has launched a joint venture with Hemphill Productivity Institute ("HPI") and its founder, Barbara Hemphill, to establish the Pendaflex Productivity Institute. Hemphill is widely recognized as the world's leading organizing and productivity consultant, and is author of Kiplinger's Taming the Paper Tiger series and a developer of Taming the Paper Tiger software. Hemphill's agent, The Helixx Group, helped facilitate the alliance and structure the joint venture.

The Pendaflex Productivity Institute ("PPI") has been created to train, empower and promote a national network of certified productivity consultants to deliver HPI's proven, proprietary organizing processes and services. These offerings will target customers including department heads, business managers and small business owners, helping them to organize their time, space and information in order to be more productive.

Under the terms of this agreement, HPI will provide its proprietary and branded products and services as well as training and call center support. HPI has a 25-year track record of developing and implementing proven, proprietary organizing products and processes and training a national network of Productivity Trainer Authorized Consultants (PTACs). Esselte will provide marketing and PR services, local business development, and overall operations support for the venture. Esselte also brings to the venture a suite of leading organizing products, as well as industry expertise and marketing capacity to promote PPI solutions on a national and global scale.

This unique partnership is expected to set a new standard in bringing productivity improvement services to businesses. Training of organizing consultants and initial market tests will begin during the second half of 2005 in New York, Charlotte, San Diego and Phoenix. A nationwide rollout is scheduled for 2006.

"Through the knowledge of local organizers, the expertise of Barbara Hemphill and products and marketing muscle of Pendaflex, this partnership is sure to be a success for everyone involved," said Bill Mullenix, VP Global Marketing.

"I believe this venture will change the profile and impact of the organizing industry," said Hemphill. "PPI has the potential to bring organizational 'best practices' and products and services to a huge, under-serviced market."

Indeed, the launch of PPI could not come at a better time. The need for professional organizing services has never been greater. A number of recent studies have confirmed that billions of dollars were lost by businesses last year because employees were not able to find needed information. According to one such study, the average U.S. executive wasted six weeks last year searching for important documents that are lost in clutter. Recent legislation, such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) intensify the challenge for many companies and highlight the opportunity for organizing professionals who can deliver proven solutions.

"Increasingly managers in all businesses find their workspace and inboxes overflowing with unfiled documents and e-mails, they spend hours looking for information . . . and sometimes can't find it at all," says Hemphill. "Desk clutter is a powerful magnet - it quickly starts with a few innocent looking documents tossed on a desk yet quickly accumulates to a Mount Everest-sized heap."

Through proprietary methods such as "The 8-Hour Miracle" -a process whereby the consultant analyzes client needs, reorganizes space and workflow, and trains individuals to stay on top of tasks-- PPI will guarantee an increase of ten percent in a company's productivity due to the implementation of its methods of organization management. PPI will also offer an "enterprise" solution service for departments of at least eight people, offering the key benefit of enhanced file sharing across the department of all paper and electronic based files.
