Joshua A. Shaw, Founder & CEO, MISSION Products

Joshua Shaw is a seasoned entrepreneur, author and lecturer with over 15 years experience launching, building, growing and selling companies. He’s recognized by his peers as a maverick who understands how to develop people, brands and companies, and is currently applying those instincts to the launch of a line of athlete-engineered skincare under the brand MISSION Products, to be released in early 2008.

Josh was most recently Co-founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of GoSMILE, Inc. In that role, he helped pioneer an entirely new concept within the $4 billion dollar oral care category that has taken the prestige specialty beauty industry by storm: the “smile-beauty” category. Under his direction, GoSMILE became the category leader, making him one of the cosmetic industry's rising stars.

Developing, launching and managing successful organizations is Josh's forte and passion. Prior to joining GoSMILE, Josh successfully helped build and run the multi-media marketing services company, Student Advantage Inc. Over nine years, Josh oversaw various aspects of the business ranging from marketing and sales to operations and business development. A driving force in the organization as it grew from 12 people generating $400k in annual revenue to nearly 500 people generating over $85MM, he played an integral role in the successful evolution of the business from the start-up phase into a public entity. At its height, Student Advantage was valued at more than $1 billion on the NASDAQ.

Josh was also hand-selected out of one million applicants to participate in the hit NBC reality TV show "The Apprentice" with Donald Trump. He was one of the 18 chosen for Season 4, and was widely recognized as one of the dominant leaders amongst his group. His charisma, strategic know-how and passion shined through on the show, just as it does in his life and at work.

Among his advisory roles, Josh serves on the Board of Directors for gloMinerals (gloProfessional) and the Board of Advisors for Max’s Men’s Grooming Salons and Spas. He is actively engaged in philanthropic pursuits including Operation Smile, Autism Speaks, and The Ronald McDonald House.

Josh received his BS in Marketing/Finance from the University at Albany. He co-authored the book “Who Invented Lemonade?” with Dr. Alexander Barzvi, and frequently lectures on business, strategy, positive thinking and team-building. He lives in New York City with his wife Melissa and daughter Ava Violet.

Josh has retained Helixx to help accelerate the development of MISSION Products, related media and philanthropic ventures, and his portfolio of personal lifework engagements.
